Critically, Twilight conquer Iron Man and Dim Knight? A self-loathing sunshine sparkler defeat a flying suit of armor that shoots missiles and freakin’ Batman? And how’d it beat Slumdog Millionaire? It the was THE award-successful film of 08? Now I see why the Oscars are held in increased regard that an MTV award.

I did not even like slumdog millionaire. In simple fact I turned it off halfway by means of simply because I believed it was stupid. I didn’t like Ironman either, despite the fact that Dim Knight was extremely very good. Twilight was an excellent film and there are tons of enthusiasts that agree.

I mean come on, Kristin Stewart won numerous awards over Angelina Jolie? There is definitely something wrong with this picture.
It’s because they cater to different audiences…The Oscars are for a mature audience who can give a critical review of plot and acting where as the MTV awards are decided by a much younger audience who can be easily swayed by the popular media. MTV did not hand out awards of merit, they handed out Popular Kid Awards…it’s like a notch above the Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon.
Twilight beat the Dark Knight ??!
oh my gosh, i didn’t know that. I have never seen Iron Man but The Dark Knight is an amazing movie, how the hell did Twilight beat it?! The freaking actors cannot even act! They walk and talk like they have a brick up their butt ! I’m really annoyed now, i can’t believe it. Slumdog Millionair isn’t really my thing but i would chose it over Twilight anyday.
Twilight = the book sucked! the movie SUCKED! and i read the actors are all potheads! People really need to get over the whole screaming over ugly Robert Pattinson. One day those crazed fans will look back and laugh at themselves for watching it, but we are the cool people who realised it was sh.it from the begining! 🙂
An award show for film that has “Best Kiss” as a category cannot be taken seriously.
Because Twilight is a really good movie and has some good actors init; they have brought the books to life which i think also counts for alot of things.
Rob Pattinson is also another reason, and the other actors init; i think they did this movie very well therefore that is why it beat Iron Man and Dark Knight although i’m quite fond of Iron Man i would probably vote for Twilight 🙂
And for people who think Twilight-obssessed fans are children then you are very wrong.
I haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire so i can’t comment on that, but I agree about The Dark Knight and Iron Man. They were both great. As for Twilight, I’m a HUGE fan of the books but was disappointed with how the movie turned out.
Because of some little teenage girls who voted all day long cause they are losers.

I will have to say I was one of “those” obsessed girls, who after reading the books could not stop thinking about it. But I got over it because honestly the books aren’t even that great. The only reason they are so popular is because the characters are seen as “perfect” appealing. Also becase of Bella’s bland and dull character, you as the reader, can easily insert yourself into her place therefore being with Edward.
As for the movie, that was horrendous. Probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen, but because of all those “twilight fans” they will continue to makes more of those terrible movies. It just shows how naive and ignorant all these people are if they think Twilight is better than Slumdog Millionaire, Dark Kinght, or even Iron Man. Slumdog Millionaire was one of he best movies I have ever seen and it is about REAL people. Not to mention it was a beautiful movie overall and was very touching.
The MTV VMA’s is a populist award show. You truly cannot have been expecting giants such as Slumdog and Batman and Iron Man to win against Twilight. Love it or hate it… Twilight wins by popular vote.
Because fans of legitimately good movies don’t watch MTV!
